Great News!

The Marquette Arts and Culture Center is happy to announce that the Friday night “Music in the Park” Presque Isle band shell local talent performance series will be starting its 5th year on Friday June 15th. This musical series is run completely by volunteers and is absolutely free to the public. It’s a great opportunity to pack a picnic basket and enjoy a “Dinner and a Show” or just come as you are and enjoy the beauty of Presque Isle Park while experiencing some of the best talent our area has to offer. The bandshell has plenty of benches , lots of room for picnic blankets, a nice public bathroom and a nearby ice cream stand for tasty deserts. We invite you all to come down to the opening performance on Friday, June 15th and enjoy Casey Beaudry (6;00 7:00pm), The Marquette Male Chorus (7:00 to 8:30) and Robert Buchkoe (8:30 to 9:30) . Casey Beaudry is a very talented young lady with a wonderful voice and a sparkling stage personality. She plays guitar while performing mostly country music and original songs. Casey will be attending College in Nashville this fall, so this may be one of our last chances to enjoy her performances. Following Casey, the Marquette Male Chorus will perform. This award winning group of male singers is well know for their beautiful harmonies and well polished precise performances. Finishing the evening is Robert Buchkoe. He has been playing and teaching piano in this area for over 50 years and is a truly astounding piano player. He will dazzle you with a variety of popular and classics selections.
Later in June on Friday the 29 we are very proud to present the the “Flat Broke Blues Band” This group of very talented Blues musicians will be giving back to the community by providing this wonderful free concert - You simply don’t want to miss this evening of excellent Blues entertainment.
